Our MISSION: To encourage greater voter participation in the election process by making the candidates and issues more visible to the electorate, and fostering an increased quality and quantity of dialogue between voters and candidates.

Our GOAL: To provide an internet presence to ALL Candidates running for elected office, across ALL of North Carolina, so that All potential Voters can find their LOCAL candidates and know the issues they stand for!


This portal is built around the idea that voters and political candidates need a common place to meet on the internet.  In our society, voters need information and are increasingly turning to the internet to look for information about the candidates. At the same time, Candidates need to leverage the incredible speed and effeciency of the internet to be able to get their message to the most voters in a short period of time without spending a tremendous amount of money!  

Emphasis on Local 

We want Voters in every county to have access to the candidate web sites that they never had access to before....the LOCAL Candidates!   It has been said that " All Politics are Local", so why not have a Local Politics Portal !!

We want all voters to be able to locate, understand and compare the issues and position of every candidate and incumbent, anywhere in the state. We strive to facilitate a new level of interaction between voters and candidates.

We want all candidates to have a visible and accessable presence on the internet that fully leverages the potential of the network. We want candidates to be able to get their message to all voters, anywhere in the state, at any time.

Who are we?  

NC-Politics.com is a local North Carolina company and service. We are from North Carolina, and we care about the future of North Carolina!

Fact is, we are interested in politics, and believe that if voters had better access to the candidates they might be more interested. Sound simplistic?
Perhaps so.....lets just see !!

Which way do we lean?  

NC-Politics.com is a non-partisan, un-biased information provider. All candidates are treated the same, candidate profiles and forums are for public access, every effort is given to provide equal service to all candidates and voters !


Why do we do this?

Our spouses asks this question a lot! NC-Politics is a for-profit entity (although our accountant would dispute that), and receives no public funding to support its services. NC-Politics places advertising on SOME of its pages (but no candidate ads are allowed on any candidate profile pages) to collect support for the ongoing operation of this site. Donations would be gratefully accepted, if you feel so inclined,...but we would rather have the site pay for itself !

We DO NOT collect any candidate or voter names and addresses in order to send you endless volumes of SPAM or sell the names to anybody that would do that. No Way ! This is the real thing, if you are a candidate put your listing in without worry, (see our privacy policy).

There is simply no downside to placing a Candidate Profile here, unless of course, additional visibility is a bad thing !
