NC-Politics Political Portal - Features Overview

Candidate Profiles

Candidate profiles are designed to provide candidates with a resource to gain valuable exposure to the voters! Candidates are invited to enter own profiles in their own words, and highlight the issues that are important to them. Candidate Profiles can be changed / updated as often as the candidate wants, to address developing issues. Candidates can enter a link to their campaign web site or Blog so that voters can find additional detail and information about their favorite candidates. This feature provides additional leverage to the candidate's web presence by providing access it the site by voters that may never have been able to find it previously!

Regional News - Blog-roll

Voters want to focus on the news that is important to them, LOCAL news. We provide news feeds and the capability to access LOCAL Blogs. Local bloggers write about local issues and candidates. This is a powerful new element in political campaigning that voters are reading on a daily basis. Politicians cannot afford to overlook this important capability to "get their message out". Most bloggers openly invite candidates to post articles or respond to articles that have been posted! .

Incumbent Directory

Many times voters need to be able to quickly find out who their current elected officials are. This information is already available on the internet, just not in one place! Each county, city, or government body (state leglislature, state execuitive branch, US Senate, US Congress, etc.) all maintain their own seperate listing of their members. These web sites are regularly updated in order to keep the information current and contain additional information voters may need. Our goal is to provide you with a set of "LINKS" to these sources (all in one place) in order to make your search easier.

Local Forums

Local FORUMS allow voters (and candidates) that do not have a Blog to participate in an open discussion over the internet! Candidates are invited to post position statements, press releases, candidacy announcements, (almost anything) and allow local voters to respond. Voters are invited to post about LOCAL subjects of interest and interact with other voters or candidates.

Candidate Corner

Candidate Corner is a resource for LOCAL candidates. Here you find information and links to local resources that can assist you in your campaign. Every campaign is different, if your a new candidate you need somewhere to go to get help "getting started", if you are an incumbent you need to have access to new resources that may not have existed during your last campaign. Look over these pages and you will find something that can help in your current campaign!

There is simply no downside to placing a Candidate Profile on NC-Politics.com, unless of course, additional visibility is a bad thing !
